'About The Lebanese Arabic Music and The Musical Rahbani Theater'
The author: Nizar Morrowa.
The late Nizar Morrowa is considered one of the most influential people who wrote about music in Lebanon. Some of his friends collected some of his articles that were originally published between the fifties and the eighties and published them in this book. In some of these articles, Morrowa discussed how Arabic music developed, and he also made his criticisms about many of its aspects including some of the things he disliked.
The second chapter is dedicated to articles in which Morrow analyzed the Rahbani brothers music and theater. Some of the articles were collected from newspapers and magazines Morrowa wrote in about the plays he attended in the 60's. There is also an article about Fairuz he wrote in the late eighties. In that time, Fairuz was nominated to receive Lenin's International Peace Award, and Morrowa decided to write this biographical article about Fairuz.
There are many other articles including ones about Tawfiek Elbasha, Walid Ghoulmei, Marcel Khalife, and a long interview with Ziad Rahbani. There is also an interview Marcel Khalife conducted with Nizar himself.
